Software Compliance and Verification Lead

Job Summary
CBSbutler is seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Compliance and Verification Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for driving the creation of embedded software and FPGA development, verification, and release processes in line with ECSS standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement software verification plans and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance across the full software development life cycle.
- Verify robust high-reliability software and ensure that all documentation, software, and FPGA code delivered to customers meets ECSS standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate test plans and procedures to ensure that deliveries meet all customer and internal requirements.
- Participate in hands-on testing and verification of FPGA and software deliveries.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of high-reliability coding standards, development standards used in space, aerospace, or defense, and version control software.
Requirements
- Knowledge of high-reliability coding standards, preferably MISRA or equivalent.
- Knowledge of development standards used in space, aerospace, or defense, preferably ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or equivalent.
- Previous experience of ensuring compliance across the full software development life cycle.
- Verifying robust high-reliability software.
- Developing software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Experience with version control software such as subversion or Git.
- Experience with issue tracking software such as Redmine or Jira.
- Basic knowledge of the C programming language, preferably with some bare-metal embedded experience.
- Ability to communicate well through customer-facing documentation.
