About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Compliance and Verification Engineer to join our team at CBSButler. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for driving the creation of embedded software and FPGA development, verification, and release processes in line with ECSS standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement software verification plans and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with ECSS standards.
- Verify robust high-reliability software and ensure that all documentation, software, and FPGA code delivered to customers meets ECSS standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement software development life cycle processes.
- Participate in hands-on testing and verification of FPGA and software deliveries.
- Develop and maintain version control software, such as subversion or Git, and issue tracking software, such as Redmine or Jira.
- Communicate effectively with customers through documentation and other means.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of high-reliability coding standards, preferably MISRA or equivalent.
- Knowledge of development standards used in Space, Aerospace, or Defence, preferably ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or equivalent.
- Previous experience in ensuring compliance across the full software development life cycle.
- Experience with version control software, such as subversion or Git.
- Experience with issue tracking software, such as Redmine or Jira.
- Basic knowledge of the C programming language, preferably with some bare-metal embedded experience.
