About the Role
The Youth Justice Service is dedicated to assisting children and adolescents who are involved in, or at risk of entering, the Youth Justice System. This service also engages with parents, guardians, and the victims affected by youth-related offenses. As a collaborative initiative led by Suffolk County Council, the primary objective is to avert criminal behavior among young individuals while safeguarding the community from the repercussions of such actions. Concurrently, the service prioritizes the safety and welfare of these youths, aiming to improve their life prospects and aspirations.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative within the parameters of the position.
- Possesses knowledge of Signs of Safety and a comprehensive understanding of solution-focused intervention strategies.
- Capable of effectively implementing solution-focused methods to achieve positive results.
- Adept at identifying risks and concerns while concentrating on solutions to foster an environment conducive to change.
- Familiarity with pertinent legislation, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the role.
- Skilled in recognizing and addressing Child Protection and risk-related issues, escalating matters as necessary.
