Assistant Psychologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join our Community Learning Disability Youth, Child and Adolescent mental health service (LD YOUTH CAMHS). This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to gain broad experience of delivering psychological support within a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions with young people and their families, with a strong emphasis on risk assessment, care planning, and safeguarding.
- Support the team in the collection of routine outcome measures, co-facilitation of groups, teaching, audit, participation/co-production projects, and developing resources to support the delivery of the service.
- Work closely with social care teams, specialist schools and colleges, and local care providers to provide comprehensive support to young people and their families.

Requirements- A BPS accredited degree in Psychology.
- Experience of quantitative research.
- Skills using microcomputers for databases or data analysis.
- Knowledge of mental health and an understanding of psychology applied to healthcare.
