About the Role

Savino Del Bene is seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Operations Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for handling all processes involved in Export and Import shipments from inception through to final destination delivery, covering Sea & Air Freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and streamline transportation processes to ensure a stable, efficient, and cost-effective portfolio of service providers.
  • Ensure Savino Del Bene's product offering is competitive and seamless.
  • Liaise with all relevant parties to ensure that customer expectations are met during the movement of cargo.
  • Manage shipments from first booking through to final delivery.

Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience in a freight forwarding operational role, either within Sea or Air Freight, across either Exports or Imports.
  • Excellent customer service skills with an accurate, uncompromising eye for detail.
  • Experience in import or export shipments.
  • Excellent level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and in a fast-paced, teamwork environment.
  • Computer literate and able to adapt to using in-house computer systems.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing conditions.
