Position Overview

Role Summary

The Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in the design and development of comprehensive mechanical solutions, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry regulations for diverse Multi Fuel Generation Projects globally. This position also involves enhancing engineering methodologies and supporting the business development team with innovative concepts and engineering solutions.

This role demands a commitment to quality, process optimization, and the high standards expected by our clients.

While the position is ideally situated in the Southeast of England, flexible working arrangements are available, allowing for remote work with necessary travel to offices and client locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, design teams, and consultants to establish a Design Delivery Schedule.
  • Generate mechanical designs for the creation of drawings and schematics related to all mechanical services, containment, and control systems.
  • Coordinate with the BIM/CAD team to facilitate drawing production.
  • Review and refine mechanical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor design deliverables closely to meet project timelines.
  • Engage in design meetings, providing insights to enhance design efficiency and reduce unnecessary efforts.
  • Prioritize design tasks and manage assignments among the design team.
  • Collaborate on new design challenges and research initiatives with the team.
  • Provide input for procurement packages and maintain familiarity with local and international standards, regulations, and technical inquiries from various teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Background in mechanical engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in engineering design and construction.
  • Experience with Gas/Diesel generation equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BIM environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
