Lead Mechanical Engineer

Yoh Solutions, a leading provider of workforce solutions, is partnering with a pioneering company in the energy sector to recruit a Lead Mechanical Engineer for their standby division. This division focuses on power generation and data centers, driving innovation and sustainability in critical power installations.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering design team. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will split your time between hands-on design work and mentoring a team of five engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading design and engineering efforts for mechanical systems in power generation and data centers
  • Managing and mentoring a team of engineers to ensure collaboration and high-quality outputs
  • Conducting design analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of engineering solutions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and project management
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools for design and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data, perform calculations, and make informed decisions
  • Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and other relevant engineering disciplines
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing mechanical design and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
