We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our engineering activities at one of our key manufacturing sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering team
- Recruit, develop, and mentor engineering staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
- Establish clear goals and objectives for the engineering team and ensure they are aligned with the company's overall strategy
- Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to support manufacturing operations and process improvements
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to pharmaceutical manufacturing and ensure all engineering activities comply with these requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to pharmaceutical manufacturing
