Job Title: School Maintenance Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Maintenance Officer to join our team at Spencer Clarke Group. As a School Maintenance Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Security: Ensure all buildings are secured properly each day, leading on site security and performing security checks to ensure the safety of the premises.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out general maintenance checks, including cleaning and minor repairs as needed, to ensure the site is safe and ready for use by staff and students every day.
  • Event Support: Assist with the setup and cleanup of school events and activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all involved.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and students.
  • Shift Management: Lock up or open the school securely depending on agreed shift pattern, ensuring the site is secure and accessible as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Caretaker or in a similar role is preferred, with a strong understanding of maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic DIY Skills: Basic DIY and maintenance skills, experience as a Handyperson or trades person is highly desirable.
  • Reliability: Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
