Key Responsibilities:
- Site Security: Ensure all buildings are secured properly each day, maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out general maintenance checks, including cleaning and minor repairs as needed, to ensure the school site is well-maintained and ready for use.
- Security Checks: Perform regular security checks to ensure the safety of the premises, identifying and addressing any potential security risks.
- Event Support: Assist with the setup and cleanup of school events and activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all involved.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and students.
- Shift Management: Lock up or open the school securely depending on the agreed shift pattern, ensuring the site is secure and accessible as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Caretaker or in a similar role is preferred, with a strong understanding of maintenance and security procedures.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic DIY Skills: Basic DIY and maintenance skills, with experience as a Handyperson or trades person highly desirable.
- Health and Safety: Understanding of health and safety procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Reliability: Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
