We are seeking a skilled Technical Placement Broker to join our team at Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. As a Technical Placement Broker, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our insurer partners, identifying opportunities to maximize income, enhance our customer proposition, and deliver new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Placement of large and complex commercial risks across our insurer panel, ensuring the best terms for our customers and commercial terms for Endsleigh.
  • Work with colleagues to devise specific placement strategies for new and existing business - identifying appropriate markets and designing suitable insurance programmes.
  • Provide day-to-day support for trading teams, acting as a referral point, recommending markets for individual cases, and enhancing colleagues' broking capabilities.
  • Enforcement of placement strategy across insurer partners.
  • Ensure effective reporting and analysis of partner performance and delivery of recommendations to improve.
  • Onboard new partners - ensure Due Diligence is completed and review and negotiate TOBA.
  • Overseeing insurer audits and management of action plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the insurance market.
  • Strong commercial lines insurance knowledge gained in a broking or insurance company environment.
  • Proven experience of commercial lines insurance broking or underwriting.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and principles.
  • Experience in placement of complex risks.
  • Sound knowledge of FCA regulations.
