An exceptional opportunity has emerged to become a vital member of the Pharmacy Team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves engaging with our anticipated mental health inpatient wards and Community Mental Health Teams.
We are seeking a motivated Senior Pharmacy Medicine Management Coordinator to contribute to the pharmacy department's commitment to delivering safe, effective, and responsive pharmaceutical supply services.
As we prepare to transition to our innovative new mental health facility, which will house three wards at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and one Older Adult Ward at Walton Hospital, your role will be pivotal.
All responsibilities will be executed under the guidance of Registered Medicine Management Technicians, yet you will be expected to operate independently in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with safe medicine supply standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely supply of medications to wards and community mental health teams, maintaining high standards of patient care and pharmacy compliance.
- Collaborate with community mental health teams to ensure timely completion of Polarspeed prescriptions.
- Oversee the execution of pharmacy governance audits, ensuring they are conducted quarterly as per the pharmacy schedule.
- Assist ward and community teams in maintaining organized pharmacy records and resources, including delivery notes and informational materials.
- Address inquiries regarding the availability and supply of medications.
- Provide support to the dispensary and distribution operations at Kingsway Hospital.
- Travel independently between various sites, with travel expenses reimbursed.

Qualifications Required
Applicants must possess a GPhC approved level 2 Pharmacy Support Worker qualification and GCSEs or equivalent in English, Maths, and dual award GCSE or equivalent in science.
Experience Required
