About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Department Head to join our team at PD&MS. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers and technical professionals to deliver high-quality project work across the entire lifecycle of assets within the oil and gas, renewables, and nuclear sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical professionals to deliver project work
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to drive business growth and improve project delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project management and delivery
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise and knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance, health and safety, and environmental policies
  • Manage personnel performance, competency, and work ethic
  • Develop and implement training and development programs for team members
  • Review and monitor competence of engineering personnel within the department
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards
  • Competent in the use of MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Oil and Gas Control and Instrumentation Engineering experience
  • Demonstrable Experience and Knowledge in Field Instrument selection and application
  • Experience in writing/checking/approving system SoW for 3rd party systems vendors
  • Fault Tree Analysis
  • Risk Assessments
  • Experience in support to construction and commissioning activities
