Job Title: Audiologist at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to provide comprehensive Audiology services for adult and pediatric patients at our hospitals and peripheral clinics.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine diagnostic assessments, including audiometry and acoustic admittance measurements.
  • Fit and program hearing aids to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of hearing aids and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Audiology Team to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical:

  • Perform a range of audiometry tasks to diagnose and manage hearing-related issues.
  • Fit and adjust hearing aids to meet individual patient needs.
  • Interpret test results and refer patients to specialists as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Communication:

  • Effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and the public to ensure seamless care.
  • Work collaboratively within the Audiology Team to achieve shared goals.
  • Handle patient inquiries and concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.

Physical Skills:

  • Develop and maintain good hand-eye coordination and sensory skills to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Provide expert advice on hearing aid repair and maintenance.
  • Conduct otoscopic examinations to assess ear health.
  • Perform ear mould modifications and repairs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:

Knowledge:

  • Hold a BSc Healthcare Science (Audiology) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in an NHS Audiology Department or similar setting.

Professional Registration:

  • Registered (or working towards registration) with the RCCP/AHCS.

Experience:

  • Proven experience working with adults and children in an Audiology setting.
