Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of pharmacy services to patients in a prison setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of pharmacy services, including medicine management and dispensing medications.
  • Work closely with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Screen drug charts and provide patient counseling.
  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy services and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
  • Registration with GPhC as a pharmacy technician.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Desirable: Working towards Accredited Checking or MM Technician Certificate, some understanding of mental illness and substance misuse and their treatment.
