Job Summary:

Met Recruitment UK LTD is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding, identifying, developing, and implementing modifications to current manufacturing equipment and processes, through a structured review process.
  • Opportunities to improve production output, product quality, and equipment reliability, individually and as part of a team with all stakeholders.
  • Management of projects, including timelines, budgets, and planned versus actual progress.
  • Collaboration with production and support services to identify new equipment requirements within the manufacturing process.
  • Preparation and submission of tenders for new equipment, followed by installation and commissioning.
  • Coordination and management of contractors involved in projects and tasks.
  • Ensuring that plant is designed, installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with contract conditions, with appropriate records produced.
  • Compliance with health and safety legislation and company rules and policies.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
  • Previous experience as a project engineer in the engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent project tracking software.
  • Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Computer literacy and ability to communicate at various levels.
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams and multiple disciplines on a daily basis.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, deadlines, and concurrent projects.
  • Work independently as well as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and commitment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
