ROLE OVERVIEW
We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Senior Manager specializing in Software Engineering with a focus on Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM). This pivotal role is part of our dedicated team working on the Gen AI platform, concentrating on the development and upkeep of cloud-native solutions tailored for Generative AI and LLM applications. The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in reusable software components, frameworks, SDKs, microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps/MLOps/LLMOps, with a strong commitment to creating scalable, dependable, and efficient systems.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated expertise in Generative AI, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Natural Language Processing.
  • Over 12 years of relevant experience in delivering complex technology solutions, ideally within a global organization.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in experimenting and developing with LLM technologies.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in deploying LLMs for real-world applications.
  • More than 8 years of experience leading enterprise-scale software engineering or platform engineering teams.
  • A strong advocate for Modern Engineering and DevOps practices, with a solid understanding of CI/CD, AI/ML pipelines, and automation tools.

Essential Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Generative AI and LLM-based development.
  • Proficient in creating conversational agent-based user experiences.
  • Experienced in developing SDKs and libraries for other developers' use.
  • Familiarity with key LLM model APIs (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI) and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
  • Knowledge of multi-agent frameworks and their applications in complex problem-solving scenarios.
  • Expertise in constructing enterprise-grade, secure data ingestion pipelines for unstructured data, including indexing and advanced retrieval methods.
  • Proficient in generating and utilizing text embeddings, with an understanding of embedding spaces for semantic search and information retrieval.
  • Experience in building production-level knowledge graphs.
  • Familiarity with RAG concepts and the implementation of systems that integrate knowledge bases with Generative AI models.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, NodeJS, and ReactJS, along with associated GenAI libraries and frameworks.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with LLM guardrails and security considerations.
  • Background in LLM testing and evaluation.
COLLABORATION
  • You will collaborate with your Gen AI Platform Engineering chapter within the Cloud and Platform Engineering Portfolio.
  • Engage with Product Owners, Chapter Leads, and fellow squad members.
  • Work alongside Agile Coaches and Scrum Leads who will guide you in adopting agile principles and practices in your daily work.
