We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager with a robust background in the utilities, construction, or engineering sectors to join our vibrant team.



Position Overview:


We are seeking a proficient Senior Financial Manager to supervise all financial dimensions of our operations and to steer the financial strategy and planning of the company. The successful candidate will be pivotal in safeguarding the financial stability of the organization.



Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight:
Manage all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Formulate and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
Evaluate and interpret financial performance, pinpointing trends, risks, and opportunities.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Direct the semi-annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with department leaders to create comprehensive budgets.
Generate precise financial forecasts and offer strategic insights based on financial evaluations.

Reporting and Financial Analysis:

Produce timely and accurate financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Conduct thorough financial analyses to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Present financial performance and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Cost Management and Efficiency:

Establish cost management strategies and identify avenues for cost reduction and efficiency enhancements.
Oversee project expenditures, ensuring alignment with financial targets and budgets.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Guarantee compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and reporting obligations.
Manage financial risks, encompassing credit, liquidity, and operational risks.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory entities as necessary.

Team Development:
Focus on building and leading a finance team, mentoring and nurturing talent while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Encourage collaboration and effective communication within the finance team and across the organization.

Candidate Profile:
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong leadership and team management expertise.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of 7 years in a senior financial capacity, with substantial experience in the utilities sector or high voltage network projects.
Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Technical Proficiencies:
Proficient in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, MS Excel).
Strong comprehension of financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
