About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Management Officer to join our team at Iberdrola SA. As a key member of our Eastern Green Link 4 HVDC Project team, you will be responsible for the management of identified projects throughout their full lifecycle from development through to final closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the delivery of outputs, incentive metrics, and milestones in line with business targets.
  • Effectively manage project risk and mitigate the impact of issues that may emerge.
  • Ensure that customers are consulted and informed at all stages on the project lifecycle.
  • Compliance with the HVDC Integrated management system and Project Quality Plan.
  • Responsible for the correct management and administration of contracts.
  • Develop accurate capital expenditure forecasts and output projections on assigned projects.
  • Responsible for the development, management, monitoring, and updating of project programmes.
  • Responsible, in conjunction with the construction team, for ensuring that construction sites are managed in a safe manner and that environmental risks are suitably mitigated.
  • Promote and implement external and internal stakeholder engagement and community liaison for projects.
  • Responsible for the delivery of a quality, documented, and maintainable product to SPT Network Operations.
  • Ensure system data and final records for all assets are entered into the corporate systems in line with required policy and associated timescales.
  • Drive continual improvement by completing project and contract reviews, identifying lessons learned, and sharing these with the wider business.
Requirements
  • An ability to deliver assigned HVDC Project scopes and associated Enabling Projects as required.
  • Manage individual project portfolios that will include a range of projects, including complex multi-disciplined construction projects and large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience of marine cable installation projects.
  • Significant experience of managing electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Project management methodology experience or qualification.
  • Project risk management and control.
  • Contract management experience, especially FIDIC and NEC.
  • Understanding of and able to implement quality assurance processes.
  • Health, safety, and environmental legislation applicable to construction projects, particularly CDM.
  • Significant experience in project managing large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in marine operations, particularly cable installation.
  • Full driving license.
