Job Summary:

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dedicated Ward Manager to join our team in a leading mental health service. As a key member of the clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support, while also contributing to the development and implementation of nursing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary Nurse Responsibility: You will be responsible for an allocated caseload of patients, providing individualized care and support to meet their unique needs.
  • Nursing Care Planning: You will plan and implement nursing care for individual patients, paying particular attention to areas of nursing risk management.
  • Clinical Team Meetings: You will attend clinical team meetings and CPA reviews, actively participating in Multi-Disciplinary assessment and treatment planning.
  • Nursing Operations: You will assist in the coordination of nursing activity over a 24-hour period, including rostering, grade, and skill mix provision.
  • Service Development: You will attend department/ward meetings, actively participating in the planning of service developments.
  • Leadership and Supervision: You will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services, accepting joint responsibility for nursing operations, and provide supervision of staff, and development of nursing interventions within the unit to improve quality.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: You must be qualified as an RMN or RNLD Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
  • Experience: You will have experience of working in clinical settings relevant to the post, with a willingness to complete further clinical, managerial, and leadership training and development.
  • Skills: You will have evidence of continuing professional development, experience of clinical audit and/or service improvement based on evidence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
