Nurse Preceptorship Opportunity

About the Role
The Priory Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated Preceptorship Nurse to join our team. As a Preceptorship Nurse, you will play a vital role in the care and support of our patients, working closely with the Multi-Disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of clients/patients within an agreed framework.
- Plan and implement a structured approach to nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their needs and to evaluate progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
- Evaluate and respond to changes in patients condition and needs.
- Deal proactively and effectively with suggestions and complaints from patients and their families / carers.
- Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team.
- Participate in regular clinical and non-clinical meetings and attend other meetings as requested.
- Prioritise nursing duties and delegate appropriately and effectively within the shift co-ordination Framework under the supervision of a Staff Nurse or Senior Staff Nurse.
- Maintain a continued level of personal professional development in accordance to preceptorship and revalidation standards.
- Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests, suggestions and enquiries.
- Helps to promote and to maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the patient / relatives and carers.
- Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice at least once a month.
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Mental Health Nurse, taking charge of the ward as agreed within their supervision.
- Work in accordance with Safeguarding adult and children policies and requirements.
- Adhere to medicines management and policies at all times.
- Ensure the requirements of the Mental Health Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties Standards are met.
- Adhere to Priory Group policies and protocols and adhere to NMC Code.
