Utilizing cutting-edge CNC machinery, we produce high-quality parts and components while optimizing designs for machining and reverse engineering existing products, regardless of whether drawings are available. Our team is dedicated to meeting a wide range of customer needs from inception to completion.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist who can program both online and offline CNC milling machines using CADCAM software, along with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.

Role Responsibilities

As a CNC Machining Specialist, you will collaborate with the milling team to consistently deliver high-quality components through efficient machining practices. Your contributions will support our vision of becoming the preferred engineering partner for both employees and clients.

  • Programming and Operation:
    • Independently develop work holding, methods, and machining processes whenever feasible.
    • Program and set up 3, 4, and 5-axis machines using Fusion D and EZ-Mill 2D offline CAD/CAM software.
    • Adhere to standardized programming, tooling, and filing procedures.
    • Ensure the next component is prepared for production at the end of your shift.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Utilize robust work holding and methods to produce components that exceed quality standards.
    • Achieve first-off quality consistently.
    • Conduct in-process inspections to validate machining processes.
    • Produce components that reflect pride in workmanship.
    • Participate in 8D-NCR investigations as necessary.
  • Efficiency Optimization:
    • Strive to exceed planned cycle times.
    • Continuously seek improvements in machining methods while maintaining process stability.
    • Collaborate with team members to maximize machine utilization.
    • Utilize lights-out machining to enhance daily production.
    • Support colleagues during absences.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform bench work, tool fitting, and assembly tasks as required.
    • Operate manual metal cutting machinery, including lathes and milling machines.
    • Assist with material handling and distribution as needed.
    • Mentor and cross-train junior staff members.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Actively participate in weekly departmental meetings.
    • Identify issues and pursue opportunities for enhancement.
    • Complete assigned tasks promptly and contribute to quarterly improvement initiatives.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Follow ISO9001:2015 procedures and feedback mechanisms.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in offline programming using CADCAM software (experience with Fusion 360 is preferred, but other software experience is acceptable).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience as a CNC Miller, capable of programming, setting, and operating machines with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.
  • Familiarity with machining various materials, including aluminum, plastics, brass, bronze, copper, tool steels, stainless steel, and titanium.
  • Ability to achieve machining tolerances of +/- 0.1mm in production runs ranging from single units to hundreds.

Work Schedule
  • 41 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Overtime opportunities available, compensated at 1.4x for weekdays.
