Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional teaching and learning experiences for students with special educational needs.
  • Design and execute personalized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the distinct requirements of each learner.
  • Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow educators, support personnel, and families to ensure a unified approach to student education.
  • Evaluate and track student progress, offering consistent feedback and modifying teaching strategies as needed.
  • Engage in professional development activities to remain informed about best practices in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and effective practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a sincere dedication to supporting each student's needs and potential.
  • Capability to adjust teaching methods to suit various learning styles and abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle a diverse workload.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications or training in SEN education.
  • Experience with specific SEN conditions such as autism, dyslexia, or ADHD.
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and their application in educational settings.
