Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, focusing on developing coping strategies, social skills, and positive behaviours.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes academic and personal growth.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each student.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN and behavioural challenges is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
