Research Assistant in Behavioural and Computational Neuroscience

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary research environment in the Department of Engineering. The successful candidate will work on projects in the field of statistical learning, decision making, and neuroimaging, under the supervision of Dr Flavia Mancini.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and conduct neuroimaging/behavioural studies using behavioural, computational and neuroimaging research methods in humans
  • Analyse neural, neuroimaging or behavioural data
  • Disseminate research findings
  • Maintain and develop methodological/technical skills to expand scientific potential
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area (neuroscience, physics, mathematics, biology, psychology or a related neuroscience field)
  • Knowledge of statistics, behavioural, systems, cognitive and/or computational neuroscience
  • Specialist skills in neuroimaging methods, from data collection to analysis (especially fMRI)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in conducting and analysing behavioural and/or neuroimaging experiments on human participants
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational skills
What We Offer:
  • Salary: £31,396 - £33,966
  • Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 December 2025 in the first instance
