Job Title: Maintenance and Facilities Manager

Job Summary:

The Maintenance and Facilities Manager will be a key member of the facility and maintenance team within the GE Aviation organization. They will be responsible for supporting the planned and reactive maintenance program, leading and managing key projects, and ensuring the implementation of the preventative maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of engineers to implement the maintenance program
  2. Develop and implement maintenance plans
  3. Carry out supervision of appointed subcontractor teams
  4. Ensure maintenance tasks are uploaded to the GE Maximo system
  5. Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
  6. Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
  7. Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
  8. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
  9. Budgetary control of maintenance spend
  10. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
  11. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  12. Project management from design to implementation phases.

Requirements:

  1. Engineering degree or equivalent experience

Desired Characteristics:

  1. Proven experience in leading a team
  2. Experience in planning maintenance operations
  3. Understanding of technical aspects of electrical & electronic systems
  4. Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
  5. Demonstrated project management experience
  6. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
