The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charitable entity established in March 2017.
We oversee more than 5,000 acres of varied parkland, unique habitats, and historic structures across eight Royal Parks in London.
These include Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James's Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park, and Bushy Park.
In addition, we manage other significant public areas such as Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens.Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most frequented attractions in the UK, welcoming 77 million visitors annually.
We are currently seeking a Park Officer to become part of our team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 36 hours each week.
Salary ranging from £32,666 to £36,921 per annum, based on experience
26 days of annual leave plus public holidays, increasing to 29 days after three years of service

You'll have the opportunity to work within the stunning landscapes of The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, two of London's most cherished green spaces, while playing a crucial role in their preservation.
The Regent's Park is a historic and beautifully designed park in central London, known for its expansive gardens, sports facilities, and the renowned Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, while Primrose Hill offers breathtaking panoramic views of London's skyline, celebrated for its relaxed atmosphere and vibrant community.

As a Park Officer, you will assist in the management and daily operations of The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill.
By monitoring and supervising contract work, you will collaborate with Contract Managers and Royal Parks staff across various departments, issue orders, assess quality, and attend pre-start meetings and site handovers.
You will also serve as the park lead for specific one-off park projects, which includes attending pre-start and project meetings, documenting minutes, tracking progress against schedules, reporting issues, and escalating matters as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support the Park and Events Teams with events and filming within the parks
- Issue and monitor scheduled and unscheduled contract work
- Assist with licenses and developments in the parks or on the park boundary
- Provide support for educational and volunteer initiatives
- Assist with responses to correspondence and inquiries
To be considered for the Park Officer position, you will need:
- Experience in landscape, amenity, or park operations and/or management
- A basic understanding of relevant legislation, best practices, and technical matters related to landscape, parks, horticulture, or heritage
- Knowledge of Health and Safety principles
- A Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Heritage, or Conservation
- A full, valid driving license
Please note that you will be required to work some weekends and evenings and participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
