Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our small but agile Finance Team at a fast-growing and dynamic green hydrogen energy company. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's development and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all accounting operations, including sales invoice and purchase order preparation, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Closing consolidated management accounts in a timely and effective manner.
- Preparing consolidated group financial statements and working with auditors and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
- Preparing individual Special Purpose Vehicle ('SPV') reporting and year-end accounts for timely submission to Companies House.
- Preparing management information and working with internal stakeholders, such as project managers and executive team members.
- Designing a finance structure for bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable, considering in-house and outsourced provisions.
- Managing weekly payruns, ensuring segregation of duties and up-to-date bank mandates.
- Preparing and leading VAT returns and other tax reporting to HMRC.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preparing or auditing accounts.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning ('ERP') systems and reporting from such systems.
- Up-to-date understanding of recent developments in accounting standards.
- Understanding of tax regulations, including VAT, corporation tax and other business taxes.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, notably Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience of the preparation of consolidated accounts.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central / NAV as an ERP system.
- Experience in the renewables sector working with a small finance team.
