We are a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing business seeking a skilled Purchasing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of supply to our facility.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Purchase Order Management: Raise, place, chase, and expedite purchase orders to meet business needs.
- Procurement Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement department data in our MRP/ERP system.
- Supplier Negotiations: Conduct tactical and spot negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.
- Invoice Management: Handle invoice queries and reconcile invoices to ensure accurate payment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking and ensure timely replenishment.
- Procurement Process Development: Support the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing procurement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
**Requirements**
- Experience: Previous experience as a Buyer, or working within purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
- IT Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office packages and MRP/ERP systems.
- Teamwork: Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Proactivity: Pro-active and positive attitude with a focus on delivering results.
