**Job description**:
An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Specialist to join the procurement team at this fast-paced & dynamic manufacturing business.

Location - Near Waterlooville

Salary - Competitive

**The roles & responsibilities of the role will be to -**

Evaluating MRP demand, raising, amending, and monitoring purchase orders

Processing purchase requisitions, raising and issuing purchase orders as required

Communicate between production, planning and procurement teams regarding material shortages.

Actively communicate with suppliers to request order confirmations and update on the MRP system.

Evaluate & pursue cost saving opportunities in the supply chain.

Evaluate supplier performance and highlight areas of improvement.

Manage and resolve supplier non-conformances.

Manage and resolve invoice queries, working closely with the accounts team.

Minimum 5 years procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.

Previous project management experience.

Experience in sourcing and managing a range of commodities.

Experience of process improvements.

Proven experience in price negotiation.

Strong IT and Excel skills.

Well organised and proactive, with the ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
