Job Title: Head of Apprenticeships

Join the Transformation Unit as we seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Elective Access team. As Head of Apprenticeships, you will play a crucial role in improving elective access and ensuring the Trust's RTT performance is at its best.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report on RTT performance across the Trust, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the Divisional Director – Surgery, Women and Children's Division in improving operational delivery to achieve strong RTT performance.
  • Lead the Trust RTT Validation Team, ensuring accurate and timely validation of elective activity.
  • Develop and implement Trust-wide Access Policies, driving financial targets and improving patient outcomes.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and execute the data management governance model, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete data.
Requirements:
  • Masters-level education or equivalent experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Professional HR management qualification and knowledge of Medical & Dental Staff Terms and Conditions of Employment.
  • Experience working at a Senior Management level, with exposure to RTT and access pathway issues.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate complex numerical and statistical data, identifying root causality and suggesting workable solutions.
