Blood Borne Virus Regional Lead

About the Role
Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Blood Borne Virus (BBV) program across the BSGW region. As the Blood Borne Virus Regional Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to prevent and control the spread of blood-borne viruses, including HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize BBV screening and linkage to care.
- Lead on pathway optimization and implementation of strategies to improve health promotion and disease prevention.
- Deliver expert training to teams on BBV awareness and management.
- Ensure patients have equitable access to treatment for BBVs, regardless of their movement through the justice system.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovative programs and interventions.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) with NMC Registration.
- 2 years post-qual experience, preferably in a prison setting.
- Demonstrated involvement in health promotion activities.
- Working knowledge of treatment pathways and best practice in caring for those living with BBVs.
