Regional Information Manager

NHS Blood and Transplant is a leading organization in the field of blood and organ donation. We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Information Manager to join our team.
About the RoleThe Regional Information Manager will be responsible for leading the Donor Records Management Team, ensuring the safe and accurate processing of donor records. This will involve planning and organizing work patterns, monitoring staff workload, performance, and absence, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements and standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a quality service by working with and motivating the team and engaging with stakeholders.
- Ensure the safety of blood by checking discretionary tests for accuracy and validity and advising laboratory staff on testing requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the donation audit trail is complete and compliant with quality assurance documentation, Information Governance, and clinical governance requirements.
- Archiving and storage of donor records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage financial and physical resources for the department.
- Analyze and interpret information to drive improvement and support early resolution of quality issues.
- Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
