Job Title: Band 8a Midwife Sonographer Locum

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our team at Derby. As a Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Your primary focus will be on obstetric scans, ensuring accurate and detailed assessments. The duration of this contract will be ongoing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing obstetric ultrasound scans using state-of-the-art equipment
  • Assessing fetal development and monitoring pregnancies
  • Detecting any abnormalities and collaborating with physicians to interpret scan results
  • Maintaining accurate records while ensuring patient confidentiality
  • Providing compassionate care and excellent communication to patients during the scanning process
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent
  • Experience in abdomen and pelvic scans
  • Proficiency in using ultrasound machines and associated software
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • HCPC registration
  • 1 year of UK experience as a Sonographer in the NHS and private sector
