Job Duties:
  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Assist in the implementation of Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCP's).
  • Support students with Autistic Spectrum Condition and Social Emotional Mental Health needs.
  • Work closely with teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Help students to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one support as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND.
Education:

Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)

Experience:

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of Autistic Spectrum Condition and Social Emotional Mental Health.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with SEND.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification
  • Mental Health First Aid training
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a school setting
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday 8:30-15:30
  • Supportive team environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
