Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive fire safety strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on fire safety matters to stakeholders across the organization.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize fire-related risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fire safety is integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
- Stay up-to-date with national and international fire-related legislation, technologies, and best practices.
- Lead and manage the Fire Safety Team to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including fire authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Chartered status with a relevant Institution.
- At least 15 years' experience in a fire engineering, fire research, or related discipline role.
- Proven experience in applying engineering methods to safety, including risk assessment and mitigation.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Experience in the use of advanced engineering methods, such as CFD-based modeling and FEA analysis.
- Experience with data analysis and automation using tools like Matlab, Python, or R.
- Strong network within the fire science and fire engineering community.
