Contract Duration: 13 Months

Job Summary:

Ant Yapi (UK) Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to specialize in commercial and contractual terms of subcontractors. The successful candidate will perform day-to-day management of the subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage subcontractors on a daily basis, including tasks such as tendering, negotiation, and contract administration before and after awarding contracts.
  • Monitor project costs compared to budgeted amounts. Prepare contract forecasts and identify risks and opportunities for project spending/budgets. Provide regular reports on cost performance.
  • Develop and execute effective commercial strategies to optimize project cost management. Provide feedback for continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Handle all commercial correspondence and contractual notices, ensuring compliance with contractual conditions and clarity of the client's position.
  • Identify emerging problems proactively and report contractual claims. Assist in managing and resolving legal and/or commercial disputes, coordinating with Regional/Functional management as needed.
  • Lead final account settlements on all projects, ensuring adherence to project authority and agreed-upon timelines. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for smooth project closure.
  • Attend project meetings and offer expert advice on commercial matters.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate project budgets and forecasts.
  • Review and negotiate variations/change orders with subcontractors and clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all commercial activities, including contracts, variations, and claims.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cost control and contract management.
  • Must-have: Industrial Project Experience, Fluent English
  • Preferable: Experience in NEC4 type contracts
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple aspects of the project simultaneously.
  • Experience in managing subcontractors and ensuring quality control in large-scale projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on a contract basis for the entire project duration.

Working Conditions:

  • Work schedule: 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • 1-hour lunch break daily.
