About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as Head of Service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Criminal Justice Patient Engagement Service, working with prisoners and stakeholders to improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of our Criminal Justice Patient Engagement Service, ensuring high-quality engagement with prisoners and stakeholders.
  • Manage a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective delivery of the service.
  • Collaborate with NHS commissioners, stakeholders, and other partners to ensure the service meets the needs of prisoners and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including prison governors, healthcare providers, and other relevant organizations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Ensure the service is delivered in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements
  • Experience of working in a similar role, preferably in a custodial setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Proven experience of managing budgets and resources, with a focus on delivering high-quality services.
  • Knowledge of the challenges faced by individuals in the Criminal Justice System, with a commitment to reducing health inequalities.
