Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Sustainability to join our Corporate Affairs department at Lidl. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our sustainability strategy nationwide.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability strategy that aligns with Lidl's mission to make a positive impact on the environment.
  • Leading the Sustainability team and providing strategic direction to ensure the successful delivery of our sustainability objectives.
  • Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs and providing regular updates on sustainability performance and progress.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that sustainability is integrated into all aspects of our business.
  • Representing Lidl on sustainability positions at external events and conferences.
  • Overseeing the delivery of sustainability-related communication both internally and externally.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building high-performing teams.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently, with a proven track record of delivering results within tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to persuade and convince others.
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and internationally.
  • German language skills would be advantageous.
