Job Title: Senior or Principal Data Governance Consultant

About the Role

Civica is seeking a Senior or Principal Data Governance Consultant to join our Consultancy Services Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering data management solutions to our clients in the government and defence sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data governance strategies to enable clients to realise their vision
  • Perform data management maturity assessments and develop recommendations for clients to address deficiencies
  • Develop business cases for data management initiatives and recommend appropriate approaches and frameworks for data governance, master data management, and data quality
  • Work with clients to develop high-level architectures for data-centric business solutions
  • Support the development of client bids and presentations of proposals

Essential Skills

  • Strong data governance expertise, including experience establishing data governance capabilities from scratch
  • Business case development for data management initiatives
  • Data management frameworks and assessments
  • Data migration strategy and implementation planning
  • Stakeholder engagement skills
  • Business change management
  • Experience working with central or local government
  • Knowledge of established data management frameworks and best practice approaches

  • Willingness to travel to work at client sites, mostly Southern England based
  • Self-starting with a positive 'can-do' approach, facing unexpected challenges enthusiastically and finding opportunities to deliver successful outcomes for clients
