Job Title: Senior or Principal Data Governance Consultant

Civica is seeking a Senior or Principal Data Governance Consultant to join our Consultancy Services Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering data management solutions to our clients in the government and defence sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data governance capabilities to enable clients to realize their vision
  • Perform data management maturity assessments and develop recommendations for clients to address deficiencies
  • Develop client business cases for data management initiatives and recommend appropriate approaches and frameworks for data governance, master data management, and data quality
  • Support the development of client bids and presentations of proposals
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients to generate further sales opportunities for self and others
Essential Skills:
  • Data Governance - Experience establishing Data Governance Capabilities from scratch
  • Business Case Development for Data Management Initiatives
  • Data Management Frameworks and Assessments
  • Data Migration Strategy & Implementation Planning
  • Stakeholder engagement skills
  • Business Change Management
  • Experience of working with Central or Local Government
  • Knowledge of established Data Management frameworks and best practice approaches

  • Relates well to others, effective at relationship and stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with impact and clarity
  • Works well when part of a team pursuing a common goal

  • Comfortable planning/prioritizing work and reporting progress
  • Willingness to travel to work at client sites, mostly Southern England based
  • Self-starting with a positive "can-do" approach, facing unexpected challenges enthusiastically and finding opportunities to deliver successful outcomes for clients
  • Keen to learn and contribute to the development of Consultancy capabilities
