The Role

We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team at PrettyLittleThing, specializing in the hard and soft accessories area. This role involves working closely with the senior buying team and our Buying Director to ensure the day-to-day running of the accessories department meets the highest standards for our customers. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing open-to-buy and undertaking European and Far East trips to source new products and trends.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop and implement product development strategies to drive growth in the accessories area.
  • Ensure the proposition can deliver required international growth and maintain an understanding of new territories' requirements.
  • Work with the Senior Leadership team to influence strategic plans and developments.
  • Communicate effectively with junior, assistant, and trainee buyers in designated areas and across the department.
  • Monitor stock covers on single lines and report key information in trading meetings.
  • Generate ideas and suggestions to impact the business through promotions and markdowns.
  • Manage open-to-buy and maintain stocks according to KPIs.
  • Respond to competitor analysis and complete buying trips as needed.
  • Liaise with marketing and eCommerce teams to develop and maintain professional working relationships.

More About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Buyer or Junior Buyer.
  • Experience working across multiple deadlines and managing your workload effectively.
  • Outstanding industry knowledge, with the ability to identify trends and commercial wins for the brand.
  • Ability to support and develop your wider team and maintain approachability.
  • Commitment and focus on your role, bringing your best energy every day.
  • Experience developing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Able to travel when the business requires.
