Product Developer - Mens Fashion Accessories

We are seeking an experienced Product Developer to join our team at House Of Fashion Associates. As a Product Developer, you will be responsible for the development of mens fashion accessories, including sports bags, wallets, and footwear.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Product Manager, Head of Design, and Design teams to ensure the smooth operation of the sourcing and development of the brands collections from initial design to delivery.
  • Manage and publish the Critical Paths for each project from initial design to SMS delivery, hold weekly update meetings to ensure all CP's are on plan, and to ensure that senior management are kept up to date.
  • Ensure that all allocated projects are on time in accordance to the CP, ensuring any problems are managed alongside the PD manager.
  • Work with the head of design to source suitable fabrics and develop/source all trims.
  • Assisting the designers in building fabric packs and sending out for all relevant brands seasons when required.
  • Ensuring the ranges meet the margin requirements as stipulated at the start of every season.
  • Manage all development sheets, such as range plan, line sheets, trim/fabric trackers.
  • Tech pack creation and management.
  • Compiling all relevant information including CADS, spec sheets, BOMS, product details etc. for factory briefing and proto comment stages.
  • Tech pack editing when required for allocated projects, briefing out, and briefing for all sample stages.
  • Support the creation of Product Costings and Raw Materials into I T Systems prior to sales and handover to Production team.
  • Work closely with the Production Team on the handover from development to production ensuring all relevant information is handed over.
  • Work closely with the Garment Tech team.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Product Development in Menswear Athleisure// sports license brands fashion accessories.
  • Experience in Tech packs, overseas factories, design, critical path, sourcing trims.
  • Solid communication internally and externally via email, phone and in person.
  • Strong outlook and excel skills.
  • Comfortable working overseas and prepared to travel whenever needed.
  • Commercially sharp, resilient and highly motivated.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Experience with Zedonk data-entry is a bonus.
  • Ability to work alone, but also a team player.

Benefits:

  • Up to £35k per annum DOE including company benefits scheme.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday.
  • Based Northern Quarter - central Manchester.
  • 37.5 hours a week, typical working day is 9-5:30 with an hour off for lunch but could be 8-4:30 for example.
  • Pension at 4% (employer matched).
  • 25 days holiday which we wrap up as 20 days plus 5 'duvet days'.
  • Plus bank holidays.
  • Plus birthday off.
  • Discretionary bonus at 4% of salary.
