This position entails a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, structured as 7.5-hour shifts from 07:00 to 16:00, Monday through Friday.
Operating under established procedural frameworks, the primary goal is to guarantee a prompt and efficient receipt and distribution service to the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, some of which will necessitate independent decision-making.
Collaborating with fellow team members, the post holder will deliver a professional procurement and logistics service to the Trust.
Additionally, support will be provided to Trust Management in achieving the strategic objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities We are currently seeking to appoint a Supervisor for Receipt and Distribution, who will report directly to the Receipt and Distribution Manager.
The post holder will operate within the R&D department.
The role involves ensuring a timely and effective service for the receipt and distribution of materials to the Trust.
This position includes a range of tasks that will require initiative and proactive engagement.
The responsibilities include:
- Receiving, verifying, and organizing deliveries ordered through the materials management service, ensuring proper rotation of items and adherence to expiry dates, while maintaining a tidy storage area.
- The role demands physical exertion, often in limited spaces, involving the manual handling of roll cages and unpacking products onto storage shelves.
- Timely and appropriate processing of discrepancies related to returns and credits.
- Keeping all relevant documentation updated in accordance with code and location changes.
- Demonstrating flexibility in working hours to accommodate customer needs.
- Providing cover for the Stores Manager as required.
- Ensuring compliance with the Trust's financial policies and procedures.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Detailed ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY DUTIES:
