Our client is a forward-thinking, innovative law firm, dedicated to providing comprehensive home-moving services. With established partnerships with estate agents, surveyors, mortgage brokers, and home removal companies, they are now expanding to include their own solicitors firm, completing their end-to-end service offering. Priding themselves on being at the pinnacle of technology, they aim to streamline the entire home-moving process with maximum efficiency.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 4 years PQE. Ideally, experience in a compliance-related capacity within a legal practice is desired. Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling client complaints and concerns
  • Ensuring compliance with KYC and money laundering procedures
  • Overseeing regulatory compliance to maintain SRA authorization
  • Reviewing client care documentation and firm terms and conditions
  • Understanding and implementing transparency rules
  • Developing and implementing compliant advertising and lead generation strategies
  • Conducting firm-wide risk assessments and delivering in-house regulatory training
  • Developing internal compliance failure reporting processes
Work Environment

Our client offers a hybrid working arrangement, with one day a week based out of either Norwich or Derby offices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a dynamic, technically and legally astute individual who is capable of problem-solving and thinking outside the box. The ideal candidate should be a Solicitor, CILEx, or CLC qualified with at least 4 years PQE. They should be skilled in delivering presentations to staff and able to provide comprehensive reports to the Management Team. An approachable and collaborative attitude, fostering a nurturing work environment, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring overall compliance with the firm's CLC authorization terms and conditions
  • Updating and maintaining internal compliance policies and the Compliance Plan
  • Implementing and communicating procedural changes across the firm
  • Staying informed about regulatory and compliance changes
  • Conducting staff training on compliance and client service quality
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Conveyancing and Directors on compliance matters
  • Providing regular status reports on the firm's compliance arrangements
  • Overseeing and approving all lead generation and service advertisements
  • Understanding and managing other compliance areas, including:
  • Training and CPD obligations
  • Money laundering prevention
  • Data protection
  • Solicitors accounts rules procedures
