Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Amazon. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of our data centers, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to maintain a world-class safety culture, ensuring the well-being of our employees and the integrity of our facilities.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of facility staff, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
- Operations and Maintenance: Oversee the management of electrical and mechanical equipment, including UPS, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, and other critical systems. Implement strategic preventative maintenance and corrective break-fix planning to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Incident Management: Develop and implement incident management plans, including event planning, drill coordination, escalation, incident mitigation, and post-event reporting and follow-up.
Requirements:
- Education: An engineering degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large-scale services, with at least 2 years of team management experience.
- Skills: Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects, prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team and/or product, and experience with data center engineering or mission-critical facility management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data Center Engineering or Mission Critical Facility Management/Engineering Experience.
- Project Management Experience.
- Capacity planning and budgetary experience.
