Allen Lane is seeking a highly skilled IFRS 17 Technical Accountant to join our team in Westminster. As a key member of our financial services team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a robust control environment and preparing transition accounts in accordance with good practice and our organisation's risk framework.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical expertise on IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts, including experience of working with organisations that have transitioned from IFRS 4 to the new standard.
- Develop and implement risk modelling and governance frameworks required under IFRS 17, ensuring alignment with business decisions such as provisioning and pricing.
- Collaborate with IT platforms and systems to ensure successful transition to IFRS 17, including knowledge of key tasks and processes for delivering compliant statements and disclosures.
- Contribute to the production of or audit of financial statements and disclosures relating to financial instruments and insurance contracts.
- Experience with IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, including transition from IAS 39 to the new standard.
- Deep industry knowledge of financial instruments and insurance contracts, including through audits, governance committees, or technical working groups.
- Understanding of risk modelling and governance frameworks required across the industry for financial instruments and insurance contracts.
- Knowledge of IT platforms and systems required for reporting of financial/insurance products.
