Senior Engineering Project Leader – Environmental Sector

Location: Flexible

Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Senior Engineering Project Leader to become part of the team at Galliford Try within our Environmental Division. This position is pivotal in driving the success of our projects by overseeing all design-related initiatives. You will play a crucial role in managing projects across various frameworks.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the Senior Design Manager and Pre-Construction lead to establish a comprehensive design delivery strategy for each project. You will ensure effective coordination of all design activities throughout the preconstruction and construction phases. A strong working relationship with the Operations Manager, project management teams, and both internal and external engineering teams will be essential, as well as maintaining client interactions to ensure that designs meet client specifications.

The Senior Engineering Project Leader will be accountable for the overall output and success of design at a programmatic level. You will assist the Project Manager in evaluating design performance, managing design resource forecasts, and overseeing design change control processes.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Competencies:

Comprehensive understanding of design and construction timelines.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent organizational skills.Effective communicator – capable of engaging with all stakeholders confidently.Flexibility in handling diverse tasks.Experience in design and development environments (preferred).Solid knowledge of Construction Design Management (CDM).Alignment with Galliford Try's core values.Ability to meet deadlines consistently.Strong time management skills with multitasking ability.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Degree in Engineering, Design, Architecture, or Construction Management.Experience in Construction Management and/or Architecture/Civil Engineering.Membership in a relevant Professional Body is advantageous.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Familiarity with D & D CAD is beneficial.Working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Common Data Environments is preferred.
