Job Summary:

Meriden Media is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing all orders through our Transportation Management System (TMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all orders through our TMS system, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Plan and execute daily loads, working closely with our Haulier Relationship Managers to optimize routes and reduce costs.
  • Drive the use of STAR reporting and awareness to reduce the number of accidents and incidents on our routes.
  • Collaborate with our customer service team to ensure accurate reports and timely communication with customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our haulier partners, ensuring seamless execution of our logistics operations.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience/knowledge of Transportation Management systems required.
  • Experience in a transport/logistics role, with a focus on route optimization and haulier coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions.
