Global E&C is seeking a Senior E&I Commissioning Engineer to enhance our operational capabilities. This role involves a contract engagement with responsibilities that may require occasional site visits.
As a Senior E&I Commissioning Engineer, your key responsibilities will encompass:
- HSE Leadership: Championing health, safety, and environmental standards while collaborating with both contractor and company teams to meet HSE expectations.
- Site Engagement: Participating in site RTC meetings and conducting thorough risk assessments.
- Engineering Support: Addressing engineering inquiries on-site and coordinating with engineering contractors for necessary clarifications.
- Construction Assistance: Providing essential engineering support to construction activities.
- Procedure Review: Evaluating and approving contractor-provided procedures for the installation of all Electrical & Instrumentation equipment.
- Testing Oversight: Witnessing and approving site acceptance tests to ensure compliance with standards.
- Work Scope Execution: Implementing and completing all discipline work-scopes as outlined in Commissioning Test Procedures.
- Vendor Utilization: Ensuring effective use of vendors when mobilized for tasks.
To excel in this position, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Relevant trade qualifications or NVQ/SVQ/HNC/HND certifications.
- Proven experience in commissioning and pre-commissioning processes.
- Strong understanding of pre-commissioning and commissioning methodologies.
- Familiarity with Risk Assessments (RA) and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS).
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with Construction and Operations Teams.
